1. Norwegian national stabbed by unidentified man

A Norwegian national was wounded when unidentified man stabbed the victim in a bakeshop in Davao City last Wednesday.

The victim was identified as Bjorne Ame Mathisen, 54 years old, married and was living at Blk 9, Lot 1, Holy Cross of Agdao, NHA, Davao City.

Reports showed that the incident happened at about 2:00 AM last Wednesday at Marikit Bakeshop along Quezon Boulevard, Davao City.

Investigation disclosed that the victim was in front of the said bakeshop and drinking alcohol when the suspect abruptly showed and stabbed the victim on his chest and left arm.

The suspect took the cellular phone and the black Honda XRM motorcycle with plate number 5702 LF of the victim and take off heading unidentified way.

The victim was immediately brought to Davao Medical Center, Davao City. (Rose Anne Valledo)


2. Political officials were harassed by CTs

Thirty armed Communist Terrorist (CTs) harassed two political officials while having a political assembly in Surigao del Sur last Wednesday.

Hon Philip A Pichay, Congressman of 1st district, Surigao del Sur, Hon Hermenegildo Pimentel Jr, current Mayor of Tago and some political party while having a political assembly at Sitio Cadlom, Barangy Cabangahan, Tago, Surigao del Sur at about 1:00 PM in the afternoon.

Approximately thirty (30) armed CTs led by Commander Puma of FC-30 dressed in military uniforms harassed and at gunpoint drag away M16 rifle from SPO2 Ricky Bagnol and PO3Joel P Galolo, both were detailed security escorts of current Mayor Pimentel, also one M16 rifle from SPO2 Eliseno Bontor, detailed security escort of Mayoralty Candidate Henrich Pimentel and one cal. 45 pistol possess by PO3 Emelio Ladaga, detailed security escort of Congressman Pichay.

Further investigation revealed that the CTs were also took two (2) AK 47 rifles authorized by Congressman Pichay and two AK 47 rifles authorized by the current Mayor Pimentel and the Mayoralty Candidate Pimentel.

The CTs run off heading unidentified road after taking their firearms.

Authorities are not conducting follow-up investigation at the incident. (Rose Anne Valledo)
