2 wounded in shooting incident in Lemery

Two people, including an American Citizen were wounded when two unidentified suspects shot them in Lemery Batangas.

The victims were identified as Rico Malabana, 37 years old, single and Nemesio Camero, 58 years old, married, American citizen, both was residents of the said municipality.

Belated reports reaching Camp Crame that the incident happened at about 7:30 AM last Tuesday in Calauang Bridge, Barangay Sinisian East, Lemery, Batangas.

Initial investigation revealed that the victims were on their way to Calaca, Batangas aboard on a white Honda Civic car with plate number RPC-555 when two unidentified suspects riding in a tandem on a black motorcycle without plate showed and shot them.

The victims were taken to Batangas Provincial Hospital in Lemery for treatment.

After the incident the suspects fled heading towards unknown route.

Three cartridge cases and one slug of cal.45 pistol and the victim’s vehicle were recovered from the crime scene.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up investigation to the incident. (Rose Anne Valledo)
