1. 5 LP supporters wounded

Five Liberal Party supporters were wounded when two barangay captain shot them in Solana, Cagayan.

The victims were identified as Robin Carag, Zaldy Carag, Michael Antonio, Manuel Tanglay and Estanislao while the suspects were identified as Barangay Captain Renato Carag of Bauan East and Barangay Captain Roldat de Asis of Centro South West and both were Lakas-CMD supporters.

The victims were wounded on the different parts of their body and were brought immediately to Saint Paul Hospital in Tuguegarao City for treatment.

Reports reaching Camp Crame that the incident happened at about 6:30 PM last Saturday in Barangay Bangag, Solana, Cagayan.

Initial investigation revealed that the victims were having a conversation along the provincial road onboard a government ambulance when the suspects fired using M16.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up research to the incident. (Rose Anne Valledo)


2. 2 motorcycle riding suspects fire the vehicle of a mayoralty candidate

A vehicle riding by a Mayoralty candidate was fired upon by two motorcycle-riding suspects in Camarines Sur.

The victims were identified as Bula Mayoralty candidate Homer Cleofas Razado together with COMELEC detailed escort, SPO2 Diego L Magpantay, Regional police Escort Unit (RPEU), Police Security Protection Group (PSPG).

Reports showed that the shooting incident occurred around 12:30 AM last Sunday along national highway of Barangay Bañas, Bula, Camarines Sur.

Initial investigation revealed that victims were on the black Suburban vehicle driven by Nestor Villegas with plate number nr XSU-222 when unidentified two motorcycle-riding suspects shot them.

No passengers were identified wounded thought the left back door and windshield of the said vehicle sustained four bullet holes.

Villegas managed to drive away the Suburban to Camarines Sur PPO in Pequeña Grande, Naga City while the suspects fled toward opposite direction.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up investigation to the incident. (Rose Anne Valledo)
