1. Robbery in Pikit, North Cotabato

Two persons including a soldier were wounded in a robbery when nine unidentified suspect robbed a passenger bus in North Cotabato.

The victims were identified as Staff Sergeant Verano Bunda and Ramil Gilesalia.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed the incident happened at around 3:30 pm last Sunday April 11, 2010 in Brgy Dalinga-oen, Pikit, North Cotabato.

Initial investigation revealed that Weena bus line with plate number MVH-715 driven by Caliopez CedeƱo crossing along the National Highway from Davao City to Cotabato City route. SSgt Bunda was shot from beind by the suspects hitting him on his back when reacted on the suspects who were on the bus and declared the robbery. The other passenger, Ramil Gillesalia was hit by a stray bullet on his neck.

From then on the suspects get off the bus and run away on the way to the forested part of the barangay.

The wounded victims were immediately brought to the Midsayap Community Hospital, Midsayap, North Cotabato.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up research and investigation to know where the suspects went. (Rose Anne Valledo)


2. 8 died in Bus Accident


Eight people died and 51 others were injured when a passenger bus fell-off in a narrow valley in Tabuk, Kalinga yesterday.

The fatalities were identified as Jamari Ricardo, 54th IB, PA of Dupax Del Sur, Nueva Viscaya; Christopher Cuesta, 24 years old of Mabungtot, Lubuangan, Kalinga; Samson Ao-as of Basao, Tinglayan, Kalinga; Jojo Bugnay of Bugnay, Tinglayan, Kalinga; Chyna Fokyas of Bugnay, Kalinga; Boy Alunday of Botbot Tinglayan , Kalinga; Francis Macliing of Botbot Tinglayan, Kalinga and a 19 years old Shanalyn Cawilan of Naneng, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

Reports reaching Camp Crame showed that the incident happened at around 2:00 pm in the afternoon yesterday April 13, 2010 in Brgy Naneng, Tabuk, Kalinga.

Initial investigation revealed that a passenger bus Lovely Mae bearing a plate number AYA-268 was crossing bound for Tabuk from Bontoc, Mt. Province, fell off while running on the road.

Injured victims were brought to the nearest hospital, Kalinga Provincial hospital with two victims in serious conditions.

Authorities are now conducting follow-up investigation to the incident. (Rose Anne Valledo)


Our mentor gave us format on how they write articles. At first I don't understand but on the day passed by I apply and write it well (I guess so... kung my improvement ba...feeling ko lang ata un..hehehe)..
